This may look like a simple photo of Logan and the back-end of a toy elephant, but it is so much more. It is about sharing and brotherly love and reaching out. It is about a future started off right and a now that is so simply sweet. You see, that elephant is Jackson's most favorite thing in the world right now. He carries it and "baby elephant" (a smaller version of the same thing) with him upstairs and down. They ride in the car with him. They sleep with him every night. He is often walking around the house wailing, "I can't find my elephaaaaaaants!!!"
On Thursday morning, I was racing around try to collect the list of "must haves" for a walk with the boys. Jackson was playing quietly in the living room and Logan was relaxing on his boppy nearby. Jackson likes to hover over Logan whenever he can. He says, "Hi Logan," and "he's so cute!" He even kisses his forehead. This time, though, he didn't say a word. He just set his "momma elephant" on Logan's boppy and went back to playing. He was sharing his favorite thing with his baby brother.
If that isn't the stuff that makes you proud to be a mommy, then I don't know what is!
