Little Boxes

We've recently been hooked on the Showtime original series, Weeds.  It's a funny but often disturbing show about drug dealers in the suburbs.  We often find ourselves a bit shocked by what transpires, laughing at normally inappropriate themes but always entertained and looking forward to next week's episode.  Among the draws of the program is the theme song played at the shows open.  It's the same song performed in different ways by different people.  The lyrics are classic.  What's funny is that we're totally laughing at ourselves because it's really a rib on us.

Remember that song well from my childhood days. Pete Seeger tune. Think original reference was to houses in San Francisco/Daly City. Different perspective on post-war American dream. Dig it.
